How Do I Care For My Lithium Ion Clippers?

LithiumBatteryCareGuideGraphic

There are several things you can do to prolong the life of your clipper batteries, which in turn, help prolong the life of your clipper.

First, only plug your clipper in when charging is needed. Ideally, best practice is to fully drain your clipper's battery before recharging. If your clipper is cord/cordless capable, you can plug your clipper in and keep using it when necessary, but note it will not gain charge while in use.

Always, always, always store your clipper in a cool, dry, and secure place away from heat sources or direct sunlight, avoiding any extreme temperature environments this can cause damage to your clipper battery as well as motor and other components. If you are storing your clipping long-term, over six months without use, you should get it out every three months or so and turn on the clipper to ensure the clipper is functioning properly, and give it a partial recharge.

Lastly, and we cannot stress this enough, you can extend the life of your clipper battery by keeping the blades clean, oiled, and properly maintained at all times. A clean, well-oiled, and cool blade helps alleviate stress on your clipper and helps it consistently perform well over time.
